Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your login session — so you don’t have to re-enter it each time. DepthLevel uses a minimal set of cookies necessary to operate the Platform.
DepthLevel is built on Next.js and does not use a traditional CMS or ad network. This means we have significantly fewer third-party cookies than most websites.
2. Cookies We Use
| Category | Cookie / Source | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Supabase auth session token | Keeps you logged in. Required for the Platform to function. | Session / up to 1 week |
| Functional | Supabase PKCE state | OAuth login flow (Google sign-in). Set and deleted during login. | Session only |
| Analytics | Not currently in use | No analytics cookies are set at this time. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested where required. | N/A |
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They enable core features such as authentication and access control. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the Platform’s functionality.
Under GDPR and ePrivacy rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require your prior consent.
4. Third-Party Cookies
DepthLevel does not currently embed third-party advertising or tracking scripts. If you use Google OAuth to sign in, Google may set its own cookies as part of the authentication flow; these are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
5. Managing Your Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies currently stored on your device
- Delete cookies individually or all at once
- Block cookies from specific sites or all third parties
Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (the Supabase session token) will prevent you from staying logged in to DepthLevel. You will still be able to browse free public content.

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or legal requirements evolve. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made.
